Is anyone using the Studio Pack with Cakewalk or Sonar? Are you aware that there is a studioware panel for the VM3100Pro on the Japanese Roland site? I can't find the URL (!) but I'm happy to e-mail it to anyone who wants it.
Also, has anyone manged to get the transport buttons on the VM3100pro to control the transport in Cakewalk/Sonar. Can it be done at all?

Yo doooood. You rock!!! I'd love to get the studioware. You can email me at
deanesque@worldnet.att.net

I haven't been able to get the transport buttons to work either. In fact I still can't figure out what the Cakewalk configuration on the VM3100pro does!

A Studioware Panel is the way Cakewalk controles MIDI devices. You can have knobs an faders etc. on screen that control MIDI devices like synths and digital mixers.

Hey wigworld
As far as transport controls, you have to bind them in Cakewalk (assign them to midi note numbers). I've got a template (cakewalk pro audio 9) that has the rewind, ff, record and play working so far. Let me know if you want it.

see ya

hi again, i was in the japanese roland site... dint understood anything... but, y found the studio ware... for the vm3100pro an also for de vs-880, 890 etc etc...
the japanese site is roland.con.jp if you go there it will be difficult to find something else. but i found the download section its located in here: http://www.roland.co.jp/cs/main_d.html#soft
here you can find studiowares for many roland hardware, for example youll´see
Cakewalk用スタジオウェアVM-3100/VM-3100Proパネル
you see you just need yo read cakewalk and then the name of your hardware, i say that for those who are looking for studio ware panels for another hardware...

ok, you´ll looking for the studio ware panel for the vm3100 pro, this is the link: http://www.roland.co.jp/lib/download/VM3100_sw.html

ther you´ll find it,
hope this helps,
