What words come out of your mouth when you're really excited? I guess the most common is "Goddam!" or "Fuck!"
I used to be annoyed by a girl-friend who would always say "My land!" when she was excited. She didn't own any land, though.
I don't like "My word!" either. What does that mean?
What does "Fuckin A" mean?
In the old Superman TV show, he would holler "Great Caesar's Ghost!"
I used to holler "Jesus Christ!" when I was upset. I realized it sounded ugly, so I trained myself to substitute "Jiminy Cricket!" It's just as satisfying.
But most of the time, I yell "Holy smokes!" That used to be common decades ago, but it has gone out of style. What does it mean? What kind of smoke is holy? Is that when somebody burns down a church?
When I'm REALLY upset, I let loose with a "Holy Shit!" I like the idea of feces being holy.

I started using Jiminy Crickets for the same reason. I have a little one, and I don't want her really hearing a lot of rough language at home.

i created this one and own the copyrights to it!
it was about 10 years ago while playing an online game called Subspace.
there was an automatic filter to keep the bad language out when you were messaging others.
being the entrepreneur soul that i am i came up with this gem! :rolleyes:

My old boss before he became a mormon use to swear a lot, once he converted he use to substitute fuck with fetch, as in give me fetchin break. It use to crack me up.
I need to start doing the same. I live in a granny flat out the back of my partners grand parents house, we care for them so they dont have to go into a home. They are really really religious to. I swear like a trooper lol and some times in the back yard I'll let loose with a fuck or shit, I always cringe when I do it.
Once on a sunday morning my partners aunt and her husband came over, they were sitting upstairs in the kitchen which faces the back garden. I was outside with a really bad hangover having a cig when one of the neighbours rather large trees decided to shed a massive branch off it. It smashed down on to the garage roof and make a hell of a noise, frightened the living shit out of me and to which I sceamed out a really really loud "HOLY FUCK". I instantly realized what I did, which was infinatly compounded by the hangover. I had to split for the day I couldnt face them lol.

...funny thing. Since I work around so many Spanish-speaking people, the expression "hijo de puta" ...or just "puta" comes out automatically. I know it's nasty...but somehow it sounds less so in Spanish. :censored:
