Hi All VS-Planeteers!
I was going to tell you what my official job title with Roland is, but "Training Manager Digital Recording Products" doesn't quite tell the whole story.
Let me go back many years: My first experience with Roland Hard Disk Digital Multitrack recorders came in the early '90s (over 10 years ago) when I was working for a major Broadcast Equipment supplier. The Roland DM-80 Digital Recorder was one of the "hi-tech" products I used to demo at different radio & TV stations. I became a Roland employee in 1994 - years before the VS-880 was even "invented". Back then - if you wanted to get into digital multi-track recording, you had to spend approx. $14,000!!
Of course, this all changed in 1996, when Roland introduced the world's first V-Studio - the VS-880. And we've never looked back.
Currently, I create many of the training materials, I do most of the TurboStart Videos, in-store Clinics, and I teach the V-Studio Workshops and Seminars. Basically: VS is my Life. I eat, sleep, dream, speak V-Studios.
This Forum gives you a chance to pick my brain directly. I won't be able to answer *all* questions (as I'm sure you can imagine) but I'll sure give it a try.
You should see my studio (a.k.a Living Room): My current arsenal includes a VS-880EX, VS-890, VS-1680, VS-1824CD, VS-2400CD, and a VS-2480HD with a VS-CDR3. (I hope I haven't forgotten anyone.)
So if you have a burning issue (no pun intended!) or a hot topic, bring it on. The lines are now open.
