went back after an hour, turned on the machine and it booted. not sure if it's the hard drive being fragmented or what because you can turn the unit on without the hard drive caddy installed if i remember correct. Anyways it's working, i am backing up all my projects with the latest project files and will reformat the hard drive. thank you guys for taking an interest and providing some insight. I need a backup machine.
