I have recorded a acoustic guitar track (track 4) and would be really grateful if someone will explain the step by step instructions as to how I get it onto the cd.this is for a friends wedding on Monday 17th Dec so I'm running out of time.

I don't use the 2400 and there's enough differences between it and the 1680 that my suggestions for process wouldn't serve you well.

I do think that given the crunch for time you have, it might be more simple to send the mix out the analog outputs to a computer and then burn the resulting .wav file to a disc using the computer's burner program. All you need to get the music into the computer are three things (all can be had very cheaply too)...

1- a reasonably decent soundcard input to a computer (assuming that you have some sort of computer, or access to one). Using the analog inputs and outputs is a lot more feasible than to try to go digitally, unless your computer is set up for it.

2- You need a cable that matches both the VS outputs and the computer's inputs.

3- a decent but cheap daw on the computer - Reaper comes to mind, but it can be complicated for a novie. Waveosaur and/or Audacity are both good and free and simple to get the basics down to quickly record your VS's sound.

Then there's just a matter of making sure you save the music track to a standard 44.1k/16 bit stereo audio file to be able to burn it to CD. You also need a cd burning program - ImgBurn is a very good and free program, if you don't know of one to use.

Hope this helps in a crunch - Good luck with it all.

If it's just on track 4 (mono), click drag it to track 23-1. Then shift + click drag 23-1 to 24-1 to copy the track to make it stereo L&R. Open the Mastering menu and navigate to the CD Mastering menu and follow the prompts ro burn tracks 23-1 & 24-1 to CD. The menu will be self explanatory, prompting you when to insert the blank CD and when to choose to burn tracks 23-1 & 24-1 and when to finalize the disc upon burning so that you can play it on a CD player.
