UPDATED: Roland RBC-1 R-Bus Cable Needed STATUS: Found New Sources of Brand New Cables Planeteers

Hey there Planeteers, this is an update to let you guys know I have found 2 sources that have these cables Brand New, and Genuine.

They are both in Greece strangely, and I have acquired one from one of them, and just got the cable yesterday. Awesome.

The First is:

http://www.artsound.gr/catalog/roland-cable-p-17689.html?currency=GBP&language=en

I bought the cable from these guys, who had to order it in at first, so took a little more time than the estimated delivery(the product page has since been updated to "Available" so I guess they must have have ordered more in at the same time, so they'll probably dispatch them quicker having them in-stock). I ordered it Saturday 21st January, and it arrived yesterday Wednesday 1st February to UK. The tracking was updated regularly, when it reached the UK the tracking just stayed on a "RECEIVE ITEM AT OFFICE OF EXCHANGE" for about 5 days. On my way out last night I checked the post box and low and behold it was there, so I wouldn't be concerned when the tracking stops updating once its in the country of destination. I chose the guys above as well because they offer PayPal too as a payment option. Overall they were very friendly and professional, and communicated well. They price matched the second source below too, because it was cheaper(nice one). They have prices in £15.65, €17.30, and $19.07, so I am sure they'll have no problem shipping to the US and beyond. The shipping was a bit steep £16.00, so £33.30 total, although worth it for a genuine RBC cable(probably its original price back in the day)

The second is:

http://stollas.com/%CE%BA%CE%B1%CE%BB%CF...__from_store=el

Obviously because I bought the RBC from ART Sound, I have no information as to how Stollas are. I'm confident that they should have the cable though. The reason I did not go with them, even though they originally where cheaper is because they do not offer PayPal as a payment option.

Art Sound are selling Brand New VS1824s, VS2000s, and Fantom Gs and other gear after all thses years. Crazy.

Cheers Planeteers

Re: Roland RBC-1 R-Bus Cable Needed

I ordered ROLAND RBC-3 3m R-BUS cable from ArtSound in Greece. Sealed in Roland packaging, and functionally tested using Roland XV-5080. If I need more RBC cables I'll get from ArtSound again.

Re: Roland RBC-1 R-Bus Cable Needed

Guys, forgive my ignorance, but I'm assuming the RBC (R-Bus) everyone's talking about will still only move 8 tracks at a time from the 2480 to a computer (Reaper)? Honestly having a difficult time getting Behr's program to work, and really don't want to spend the money on Virdis right now.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: checked the links above and seems that both suppliers are out of stock.

Yep. There are 2 R-Bus connections on the back of a 2480.

Re: Roland RBC-1 R-Bus Cable Needed

try the store in Greece mentioned above, I bought a few Rbus cables from them last year, they wern't cheap due to the shipping but still better than waiting for overpriced second hand ones to come up -they still might have stock?

Re: Roland RBC-1 R-Bus Cable Needed

Hey gang,

Enough of the homemade cables and russian dudes selling originals for $120 with $40 shipping. I went for it and manufactured a small run of some r-bus compatible cables. I used blue plugs but changed the knobs to grey for better visibility. These are factory made, professional quality cables. Doing a small run means that cost basis for me is higher than I wanted, but at least I can offer the cheapest price out there, basically equal to the original retail price from 20 years ago.

Re: Roland RBC-1 R-Bus Cable Needed

aero - that new link you posted (#1704775 - 12/22/20 12:05 AM ) doesn't work.
The first one (#1704569 - 12/20/20 04:11 PM ) does work.

It's the one I linked to in the other two threads you posted that didn't work.

Is there some way you can edit your other posts and replace the ones that don't work with the one above that does work?

This is the long form one that works as it looks when I copy the shortcut to a Word doc. -

In your second post, the one that doesn't work looks like this when I copy the shortcut to a Word doc. -
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-for-R...XkAAOSwQSdf2VI2

It would go a long way toward avoiding future confusion for folk.

Well, I tried to copy the longform version, but the forum turns it into a hyperlink, whether or not I want it to...... Sorry guys. \:\(

Re: Roland RBC-1 R-Bus Cable Needed

Here is the current listing for brand new factory made r-bus cables. The other links most likely didn't work because the listings were ended.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/124716970793

If this link doesnt work, it means the listing has ended. In that case, just search "r-bus cable" on ebay and you'll find them. I'll be selling them there until they are gone.
