So, I’ve been playing around with Sonar X1 LE for a couple of months now and really want to learn it inside out before investing in X2 Producer. I’ve watched all the online tutorials via Cake TV and a bunch on YouTube as well. However, these tutorials jump right in without really explaining the concepts behind some of the options Sonar offers, and coming straight off a Roland 1880 platform that’s not a good thing. So, what are envelopes and what are clips? Also, I believe layers are basically just like virtual tracks, but I haven’t quite figured out how to comp them yet. In other words, if I have 3 layers that I want to splice (cut and paste) into one perfect layer how to I go about doing that? That’s got me stumped. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance. Cheers, Chris |

Have you figured out these answers yet? It's been a while... I use X1 and am medium-competent with it. |

He got a lot of it yelled at him from the google-police in Zatts. Its nice to chat about stuff with folks sometimes....ya learn sumpin new sometimes. But if u catch one of the know-it-alls on a day they have sand in their pants it can get contentious. |
