From Recreational Thinker "We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be."
Al must be right according to that.
All Hail Al!

Hey, as it turns out, I am LITERALLY selling a guitar tuner.
How about this, you guys paypal me money, and I send it to Al. Donate what you think Al's having a tuner is worth. Whatever I get, I get. Al gets a tuner. Sabine. Fits in a guitar case. Autodetects what pitch...made in the USA, bitches--how old must it be? I bet I've had it 25 years.
What say you? I like this idea.

I think that's incredibly generous of you and a wonderful gesture.
Unfortunately, it won't do a thing for string-bending, or artistic choices like detuning a bass string intentionally.
Surely, you live in a town where more promising and deserving young musicians could use such an artifact?
Besides, Al's pitch detecting skills were so precise, that if memory serves right, he was SUUUURE he detected two mistakes on your part, once. I honestly, having had listened myself, didn't see the blatant errors.

"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." "The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity." "The Foole doth thinke he is wise, but the wiseman knowes himselfe to be a Foole." Hey Al, I just debuted at #1 in my garage, and I also gave myself the Nobel Peace Prize award for self-indulgence.
Lady GaGa has debuted at #1 on legitimate pop charts, and I still thinks she sucks awful…so, I’m not really sure what point Al/Scott thinks he’s making, but I’m sure it somehow makes sense to him.
well I notice when others here speak of online chart success, they're congratulated. I don't see you bitching on that thread, fraud.

As I recall, when I reviewed your song, I caught you having some tuning issues, which you then admitted I was right about. Uh.. maybe you should keep it for yourself?

Al cannot back it up.. so he should simply post his stuff rather than talking about how great he is and how other people suck. If he did that ...I wouldn't bother with him.
But if he did that, there would BE no FT or Al or anything. Every single song he would have posted would have got nothing at all or a planet atta boy. His entire presence is nothing BUT his shtick. It's the one thing that he is actually good at.

If that were true, all it would be saying is the bunch of trolls here are really stupid for getting so involved. They are that stupid, yes, but it's just like at mp3.com - there were all kinds of artists saying their songs are great, and they are great, blah blah blah. but people would listen to one of their songs and that would be the end of it. The interest in my music increased the whole time. and I've gotten a lot of interest just releasing older songs on soundcloud, it's been surprising. I was just trying to take the boredom out of starting a new page on soundcloud but it's been pretty nice to see.
You guys are just noise. Just like the rock legends get on Twitter. Lame, repetitive hecklers who are so obvious to anybody who has spent a minute on the internet.

I'm onboard...
No FT tribute thread would be complete without another revisit to a another revisit to a former FT tribute thread where Al Kasem counted down FT's 60 Best Guitar Solos.
Not only is it a concise collection of favorite epic performances, it's nice to an hear an outside opinion from a trusted reviewer like Al Kasem.

Which Austin Powers character was it that said "most people enjoy the smell of thier own brand"? when referring to a fart?
Al same goes for you and your music.
People in cyberspace think you are a 3rd grader so they tell you nice things rather - your music is good for a third grader.
Then you talk about how Popman, Havelick, Grits and others around here create music that sucks.
Just buy a tuner and learn how to stretch to pitch will ya...it'll take a lot less effort than trying to convince a bunch of real musicians that you are better than them. We are not going to buy it anyway. We all have ears you can't convince us that what we hear is better than the actual proof you submit.

Chimp, you've posted 26 times on this thread now, on top of that you've trolled about me on several other posts already today.
Your persona here can practically be defined now by the phrase "the dummy who trolls Al"
Are you too stupid to be embarrassed about this ?

It does not come close to matching the ignorance displayed in your posting your doo doo as the future of rock What embarrasses me is you music being posted on the planet - your giving the rest of us a bad name.
Go practice your guitar and drum machine and come back once you have learned how to play in tune and in time...Stop telling us you are drummer who has mastered odd time signatures - I am not convinced you can even count.

You literally can't type 2 sentences without saying something retarded. Did you ever learn about nouns and verbs when you were in school?

That isn't even worthy of a Neil Young'ish recorddeal escape, is it? Trying to get a deal with Geffen, eh?
Surely, my fav douchebag can do better than that, no?

ok I've decided out of sheer utter boredom I'm going to rerelease one at a time all my greatest songs on soundcloud, a site I've mostly ignored over the years. Seriously, when I see my freakin songs lined up all in a row, there ain't no doubt in my goddamned mind why I called myself the last rock hope. And anybody who thought otherwise, you're all a bunch of dopes!

Congratulations, Chimp, you got thru a single post without a really retarded error in spelling or grammar.
I told you long ago (in this thread) you can carry on trolling me as long as you like. Just keep in mind that the longer you go without being bored doing that, the more dopey you come off. Hard to top yourself much on that, though. An embarrassment is an embarrassment, you embarrassment.

well, there's a blast from the past! Your name comes up every so often when I'm telling the story of how I got banned in the Glenn Freeman as owner era.
Course we can never be sure if this is actually the resident mental case trying some new ploy. but for now I'll hope it is actually you, but you gotta fill us in on what you've been up to.

This is a song about having such a beautiful girl on your arm that you see all eyes turning your way. Musically, it's straight out of the 60s and was produced by Dave Latchaw.
