Excellent Doug. Cool melody, great lyrics which could resonate with both mature and savvy younger audiences. Love the blend of pathos and humor. Excellent vocal delivery and connection too, as befits your comfort on stage.

Thanks, guys! It was the opening of the second set--the first set was a giant success on every level, great music from guest artists and me, great rapport with the audience. I don't sing any better than that--and that isn't a brag, believe me. That's the best I can do unless I start taking lessons. I think it's good enough for MY stuff, as the audience feels it is personal and thus forgives a lot.

Thank you. I don't know about sublime, but I'm definitely getting more confident and relaxed. I can't shake the fact that my vocal delivery is always between cute and cutely personal and direct. I see other singers close their eyes and dig deep, pulling out soulful expressions. It just isn't me. I do think people connect with me as a person, rather than as a singer. And that's not terrible, it's just that I know what I lack. The best would be to have some of what I have and everything that every good singer in the world has :-)

I Think that's a great moment on tape.
Every time we fire up the cameras that is what we hope will happen. It's like capturing a lightning strike.
That room, that song, that delivery, to that audience, all combined to create that amazing moment in time.

I wasn't thinking this specifically, but it's a sideways reference to "my generation" by the who, when Daltry sings "I hope I die before I get old."in other words, he wants to die young, not old.
And I have simply lived long enough that that is not an option for me anymore.
