gtarsncars gtarsncars Planeteer Registered: 10/20/01 Posts: 82 Loc: S. Maine	A friend wants to send a song file that is too large for e-mail. I think I have seen info here on the planet about hosting sites. Does anyone have any suggestions as to good ones to use ? Thanks _________________________ Ken G

Cubby is another one I've used and like... as is Copy.com. But I think the popularity of one site over another changes often, as do the various advantages and disadvantages of the different offerings. I haven't checked lately, but a year ago many of them were offering large free capacity versions - we're talking 5GB - 15GB for free! It's well worth your time to do a couple of comparison reviews and choose what works best for your current needs. I think Dropbox still limits their free version to just around 2-3GB, but that's quite a bit for many VS file needs. IIRC, Cubby had 5GB free... I haven't relied on it much lately, although I have it and a couple others installed, including Dropbox. _________________________ uptildawn

They give you 2 GB free storage initially and add another 500 MB every time another person joins the share. http://www.dropbox.com I record all my bands' gigs and rehearsals and share the files with my band mates. I'm up to 5 GB free storage at this point. It does require you to install the dropbox desktop app, but the app greatly simplifies file management.
