That changed the NFT system to something that windows couldn't read.

Reload and a new boot drive $110.

I asked the guy if a better Virus protection would have stopped the virus. He said 51% chance yes and 49% chance maybe.

Take away your administrative rights. Problem....solved. Create a new account without admin rights--set the autologin (if you use that) to log in with that....learn to right click and "run as" for installers when you need to legitimately administrate the machine.

Doughy...you're the only guy I know who still seems to frequently have early 2000's era computer problems.

What the hell are you continuously searching and clicking on to always have this many amateur problems?

Rhetorical question bro.....shit you know you're not supposed to be searching and clicking on.

Here's an idea.....stop doing that. If you literally have no self control then do yourself a favor and get a Chromebook and use that for all your pervy searches and you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Because let's be honest....it's either porn or you're actually the last guy on earth who is so dumb you click on spam email.

Take your pick.

The donkey screwer! Where have you been? You'll be happy to know the home recording "pro's" bullied AL to the basement.

lol....just been busy at work. Don't have a ton of energy to come here and argue about dumb shit these days.

So Al has banished himself to the basement after promising for the hundredth time he was done with this place altogether? whoa...Shocker. So basically long story short is it's just a matter of time before he crawls back up here and hopes nobody notices....though he'll be sure to immediately make sure everyone notices by starting 20 dumb ass threads that are all ultimately about himself.

So same shit different day at Ye Olde VS Planet.

Yes AL will return, he is used as an example in important recording threads so the worm is on the hook.

You need to pace yourself with the Oreo's! I have three whole packs of the mint Oreos because there was a good deal on Prime Pantry. Needless to say I'm kind of over Oreo's for awhile.

Doughie, I'd bet you had Malware, not a virus per se'.

Pay $20 for Malwarebytes to run in real time and your porn surfing won't cost you $100, down time, and the embarrassment to pay some guy to remove your g@y porn and then tell all of us about it. \:D

Seriously though: https://store.malwarebytes.com/342/?scop...ROL-NOT-OFFERED

I don't even use the freaking computer much and no....it wasn't porn or spam. The only thing it gets used for is as a controller for my iPad and iPhone if I want to add something or other.

Oh so you magically got infected with a virus or malware then?

And isn't this like the 20th time this has happened to you over the last number of years?

But I mean all you're using it for is for itunes right?

You do realize how ridiculous that sounds right?

if you told us exactly how you got infected then maybe some of us here could help.

was your browser hijacked, or did you install a program?

It could have been anything. If you upgraded to 10 using another version of windows it still could have been in the Mbr. Download upgrades or upgrade disks can cause problems.

It's all cured. I'm back to Windows seven now. And no I don't use Itunes. I use a substitute deal. I fuckin hate iTunes.

And no it's not the 20th time it's the 30th but who's counting!!!!

Personally I don't even think it was a virus. He said it acted like a virus.

But....I haven't been in a porn site in years. Not that I have anything against porn. I just don't trust: 1. That the girls are legal age and that a police cruiser won't pull in my yard 30 seconds after I click the set. 2. That my computer will get infected.....(pause for laughter) and 3.. That my wife will check the cookies and then kick my balls in.

I did download some new EMusic albums the week prior to this cluster fucck

Sigh

DoughBoy reminds me of my sister, but with balls...I think. Her computer would stop working so often that I had her install TeamViewer to access her computer and save driving time. She used to click on things like "your high school classmate is trying to get in touch with you".

Doughboy, seriously....get Malwarebytes.

I don't own a computer without it and it's on the work computers I'm in control of too.

It will catch and prevent things that anti-virus miss (a LOT of things).

There's a lot o crap out there and all it takes is for someone to click on a cure little harmless looking flashing thing and your screwed.

I don't know what else to say.
All kidding aside it is really worth it and well worth the money.
