Wondering if anyone knows of a way to transfer VS files directly to a mac OS X YOSEMITE 10.10.5 or PC windows 10. I don't want to have to waste CDs just to transfer fils to and from my VS2000. Or, is there a trustworthy software option out there that will convert VS files to WAV files? Thanks

Yes, this is handy. Be aware that you can convert only two tracks at a time. It is much faster than "real-timing" to the computer.

I'm not able to use that w/ newer operating systems on Mac and PC. How is everybody else here converting their VSfiles to Wav. The only way I know of is to have an older computer. Is that not true? Thanks

I see on the Roland site it says not compatible with mac after 10.6 but nothing about incompatibility with PC. I haven't used the program since upgrading to Windows 10 but would think it would still work (it worked on W7). I've still got old programs written 15 years ago working on 10 (even without messing about with 'compatibility settings'). Have you actually tried it on 10?

I will try it again. I'm not as versed on PCs as Macs so it's possible I didn't do it right. I'll check it out and let you know. Thanks for the quick response.

Bear in mind that the USB connection from VS to computer can be touchy. I believe the problem is the actual physical socket on the VS. After a lot of head scratching moments I eventually settled on one particular cable from my box of old printer cables which always works!

You can also load whole song info via USB to format your drive, which I recommend at least once a year.

Works just fine on Windows 10.

Great! Can't wait to give it another try. It would be great not to have to lug around this old anchor of a computer just to transfer files. Thanks a lot

Does anyone have a solution for more modern Macs? I'm using macOS Mojave 10.14.6.

I have a Mac and a pc. I'm able to import on the pc then copy to an SD card and import it to Logic Pro.
2 things to note: Wav converter only imports 2 tracks max at a time. If you choose to import 2 tracks it imports those 2 as a linked stereo file, so if you really want to isolate each track you need to import each track separately.
