Hi All,
Will any SCSI external drive work with the VS units?
Is the internal HDD format limit going to be the same for external SCSI?

I looked thru the topic regarding HDD that work with the VS units. I realized that they are talking about internal IDE varieties.

I have been doing a lot of searching on ebay for older SCSI drives. The prices range from $20 - $300. Obviously I do not want t.o spend money on an external SCSI that does not work. Some are new (unused)

In my case I need a drive that has a 80PIN connection on it. I have an adapter that converts the 80 PIN to 50PIN. I am housing my SCSI HDD in an external GLYPH CD drive.

I see SCSI drives for sale with 9.1gig all the way to 300gig. Any knowledge is appreciated.

###EDIT: Looks like I will be limited to 120gig.
Still can't find info about drives that are know to work externally.

***EDIT: I just read where it was stated that most AV SCSI will work... http://cdn.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/VSCompGuide.pdf

Cheers,
Ian
