None of my players will support .. guess it was just a "standard" extension back in the day .. I have quite a few from those days //\\ trying to give a listen tonight :: but seems to be alien in the WIN 7/8 ??

nor my converters -- will extract to a usable file ???

I tried several softwares to download -- most were blocked --MALWARE

use the VLC player to play WMA files.
it plays almost everything.

since WMA is a lossy format, try to avoid turning it into another lossy format; like MP3, AAC etc
that's called transcoding and it's bad. lol

use Wav instead.

If it's WMA you ripped from CDs or bought, it's DRM. You're fucked.

That IS what the message is telling you.

I have some WMAs I can't play. Some kind of "bonus download tracks" from a Joss Stone CD purchase....I deleted them when I cleaned up the music collection in 2014.

I have been using CONVERT LITE for ever ... just didn't want to convert these 20 meg WMA's


These are from 2000 ... just a clients.... will search to see if I might have a WAV on a CD ........



I have used WAVs as standard --- never went to MP 3 :: until our new car demanded it for thumb drive play ..
