I've been searching for a way to record a number of click tracks to a track(s) on the 2480. Not having much luck. Can any of you explain how to do it? I've routed the Gen to a track, but no luck when I play it back. Now, I did turn the click out off afterwards since I was recording to a track.

Should say I turned the click off in the metronome window after recording the track to check it.

Hi Power ... If you click over to page to off this blog ( 2480 frank giffith mem. ) scroll down to the ( Make metronome louder ) thread .. scroll down to the bottom of that thread.. I gave that individual a step by step on recording a click to a track .. PM me if that doesnt work .. or wait a bit as I am sure there will be others chiming in soon ....lol.... and welcome to the planet ..

Also.. how well versed on the 2480 are you ?? Have you got Franks help book ??? If not .. do so... it is the bible of this planet .. and will save you a lot of time and frustration ..

Thanks Kyle. I don't have Franks book, but obviously need to get it. I'm becoming more versed on the 2480 everyday. Have learned a lot in the last month. Got a little sidetracked while working on EQ and compression on some drums I recorded a couple of weeks ago, but am ready to get back to continue learning the console.

I've got a recording session this coming weekend, and am trying to rush writing/recording several clicks with tempo changes. I've figured out how to operate everything "click/tempo/volume" wise, but am apparently doing something wrong when I attempt to record the said click.

Is the book your talking about the same as "Franks Brownbag?"

Kyle, reading the "recording click track" portion in Franks Brown Bag, but have a question... After recording the click to a track, does the metronome need to be turned on to hear the recorded click?

Once its recorded you can turn the metronome off as you are playing back the recording.
