Hello to everyone. I am a new user here but I bought VirDis way back in the past for using along my VS-880 and VS-1680 MTs.
Unfortunately, today I remembered about this great system (VirDis) after all these years having updated to a Yamaha AW2400 and of course a computer-based setup for multitrack recording (Pro Tools HD and all that stuff).
I remembered the great times I used to have with these. Had to clean up my closet and there it was the 1680 and all that. Almost brought tears to my eyes (lol)...
Anyway, I came also upon the VirDis connection SCSI cable and the host card (namely the ASC SCSI PCI card). But the installation CD was nowhere to be found!!! (I was very surprised since I tend to be quite methodical with storage).
I've attached a pic just taken of the card and the accompanying sheet of paper with install instructions. I've no other way to demonstrate that I got this, because my only way round this could be either to desperately search for an old system backup of mine spanned over tons of DVDs (if I happen to found those!), and having someone (maybe the authors/owners of ASC developing company) to somehow provide me with a downloadable private file that I could get as installation media for VirDis.
Failing that, I guess all I am left with is a "raw" SCSI card and system...
So that's my question, I know this is a bit of a particular issue and that. But I think this happens to be such a great and handy product (e.g. for restoring my old Roland VS projects, or to give a kind of reanissance to such hardware, it would be cool), that I think it deserves to be solved.
If you can think of any solution to this problem I am having, I'd be grateful for any help.
Kind regards to all forumites and kudos again to the developers of VirDis (any of its versions).
