Be sure to go into the amp edit screen where you can control sag, bias, bias excursion, etc. That stuff will get the response like you want it.
Also check youtube, etc. for user settings for the HD500, there's bound to be a LOT of them by now. I found a killer Marshall setting just by cruising youtube.
