Dear VirDIS customer:
We’ll be making an announcement soon regarding an upgrade offering to VirDIS both for Hard Drive and CD-R emulation types that will review new enhancements, bug fixes and major new feature implementations. To that end please respond to this email so we can validate your current address or provide us with a new one for you. If there are any other changes to your information like phone number or physical address, please include that as well.

Many thanks for being a loyal VirDIS customer!

Bill Casey

Not sure if this is something I need since we just did the install, but rick@fusionfolk.com and all other info is also the same. :-)

I replied to the VirDIS email above.

Bill likely has very old contact information for me as I have moved a couple of times and changed email addresses.

I am curious what became of this as there are no follow up posts.

Steve

Yes, no posts due to intensive work on the upgrade - it is a BIG program but we're almost there!

I would still commit murder for a USB-based standalone box...

I read the email sent as an owner of VirDis and wonder if the wave import will allow me to import wav files into virdis and then load them back onto the vs1680?

I'm certainly not Bill Casey, the developer of VirDIS. \:\)
But I believe I can safely answer the question with a big NO.
We lowly 1680 users do not have a wave import function, thus we do not have a way to import .wav files, other than to record their playback from a media player into the 1680 the long way...

I had actually assumed the same thing, recently... i think it was a case of hopeful, wishful thinking.
