brianwd40 brianwd40 Planeteer Registered: 02/15/09 Posts: 33	Hello, Everyone, Im sure this topic is in plenty of forums... But what the hell, lets start another conversation. I have been the biggest fan of the vs products, have used them for 20 years for LIVE sound! I need to get another. Of course I can pick one up on ebay, but I get a litte lost with the whole input noise problem that they supposedly had on the 2480's Im not even sure to tell if mine has the problem, But can I get some advise on buying another 2480 that wouldnt have that issue? Thanks Brian

Probably wasn't the most direct search to find out about the noise issue, except that finding out if a machine was likely problematic had to do with knowing what the serial number was... I was under the impression that all of Roland's DVD models (after the CDRW model) had the input FIX done at the factory but I don't know that for sure. What you'll want to look out for though is buying an older 2480CD that has had the DVD drive installed after market, but no fix.

I've been looking for mine in order to find what year is was manufactured, but no luck... No input noise issues here, would just like to have a little history on my unit.
