Look at pgs 48-49 for basic explanation of analog outputs on the 2400 unit.
I'm assuming that you're asking about multiple monitor pairs and not just simply asking about two single monitor speakers (as in one for left and one for right)?
You should be able to connect any powered monitor speakers to any of the 4 analog output pairs, if you want to. Routing for what sound gets to them would all be accomplished internally, by you.
By default, you should be able to use both the master pair and the monitor pair, although I'm not sure about how separate the physical controls are for these two...... Remember how the 1680 is set up so that the headphone level control and the monitor level control both affect the monitor output level? If it's wired that way with the 2400, then you have the same situation as the 1680, in that any adjustment to either the master fader, the headphone level, or the monitor level controls will affect the volume output to the analog monitor output jack pair.
The master pair and the two Aux output pairs would behave differently than the monitor output pair, in that the volume output would not be controlled by three different physical knobs, like the monitor output is... if it's wired like the 1680.
Your monitor speakers would either have to be self-powered, or be connected to an amplifier, since all of the output pairs are at line level (+4dB, I think I remember).
just one vga port on the vs2400, so just one monitor. max res is 1024x768.
but two caveats, you can hook up the midi out of the vs2400 to your computer and run a program on it, to create a software version of the meterbridge. so you can drag that onto a separate monitor and have your meters on one lcd monitor and the rest of the interface on the standard vga out to a monitor.
so one nice large monitor or two medium size in a vertical stack might work for you.
