Hi Gang. I've been a Planeteer since about 2005, but inactive for many years. I recently found my old data disks from my first attempt at a record project on my old 1680. I borrowed a friends VS2000 (the one I sold him) but can't import anything because a message comes up that my CD's are not valid data disks. Do any of you have the ability to read old VS1680 disks, and possibly convert the files to VS2000 format or WAV's? I thought I knew how to do this, and I've researched the forums, but can't seem to find the answer now.

I have the ability to possibly recover your data discs to a 1680 and/or to the PC via VirDis and can convert whatever tracks I get to .wav files, except for those recording modes that can't be converted directly (LIV modes basically).
I've sent you a PM.

Hi,

There is a function for this called 'import VS1680 data cd' on the VS2000.

I have imported 100s of my VS1680 songs unto my VS2000 without any problems.
