Hi,I don't understand the effect Bus 1 and 2.(Channels 15/16 and 17/18 ) ! What are their exact functions?How to program/setup ? I can't find an explanation in the User Manual. Is this for aux effects ? Any help would be appreciated > Thanks dhm.
the ganging up of fx buses with channels 15/16 and 17/18 has to do with the double duty those physical faders can be used for... beyond that, I've always just used the parameter controls on the dedicated screen displays and not really utilized the faders for anything other than controlling those channel pair's volume - I'm not much help in that respect, I think.
"Programing" is strictly in the sense of using automation to set things, if needed. There is no programing, really, except maybe through the midi functions, which I also have not utilized much - I'm a big help, eh?
You can use the fx buses for external effects routing.... If you have any fx cards installed, then those buses are typically used for accessing the internal effects cards.
The physical Aux jacks on the rear of the unit are also used as direct outs and part of the 8 total outs to carry the individual "dry" tracks to external destinations, when that function is desired.
Beyond this, I'm not sure I have much else to offer. I'm surprised - and not surprised - that you may not be able to find (or there may not be much said) in the manual - although I would expect there must be something, but not where you've searched maybe.
Make sure you have all the manuals, too - there's the main user manual, probably a quick start and an Appendices, for sure.....
