I don't see where in the manual and I've tried to do it with no luck.
Can you record a rhythm track? How do you do it?
Thanks,
Ron

BTW I'm in 24bit recording.

Everything I read in your manual tells me that the rhythm track is a highly glorified version of the metronome - and like the metronome, it does not have a direct way to record it to channels, even though it takes up chs 17/18 while it's engaged, but that is purely so that it can be processed and manipulated during playback.

The only way I can suggest is to loop back the audio through an output pair and into another pair of audio channels - 15/16 for instance. You'd have to route 17/18 so that the sound is audible at the outputs you are looping back, but the destination channels must be muted to that pair of outputs, to avoid doubling or feedback of some kind.

It's a pity that you can't just simply use track bouncing to record them to another channel pair - Maybe you CAN....... I'd try that and see what happens, since the sound is being routed to 17/18 so you can process it....... that's got to work!

There's two possible methods. Hope the easiest one works for you.

While it's correct that in 24 bit you can't directly route 17/18 to a recording track (EDIT: sorry, actually you can; see next two posts) you can however send 17/18 to either the aux bus or to an FX bus or to a direct path, then route that to the recording track. Use something that you are not sending anything else to, so probably best bet is to use a direct path. You'll find that choosing a direct path from the 17/18 edit screen will automatically choose a stereo pair (of direct paths) and so if you want to retain the predefined stereo field of the drums you'll need to route to a stereo pair of recording tracks (like 11/12).

Hi,all you need to do is go to the easy routing screen and "connect(draw a line) from tracks 17/18(rhythm tracks)to a open track and bounce(record) to that track(channel). Now you have the rhythm track on that channel to use.The VS2000 drum machine is easy to use with lots of options.

I stand corrected. I had always assumed that because in 24 bit 17/18 is greyed out (just like 13/14 and 15/16) that a connection could not be made, but I see now that it can indeed.
