so I sit today in my pool on holidays and I worry about my friends and family in the hospital. An odd coincidence of three people all undergoing surgeries for various serious things. what good is all my wealth against all their health issues. im no Rockefeller or what but I do live comfortably. I am so lucky yet so useless.

I in a years time maybe of service to some as a therapist but now I feel so useless .
what good is wealth if you can't help others with it .

Most issues in life are usually a question of time vs money.

Without your health, you don't have much,

Be well, everybody.

You are a long time dead and there is no point in being the richest man in the graveyard.

Thinking how much better they are already just knowing they have such a caring friend who’s doing what can be done at the present time, however little, and that he’ll be there for them in the future.

Money is just but one tool which is useful to a worker of the heart in healing. You have empathy and concern and that’s you wealth.

Health and wealth is the optimal situation or condition, but if I had to pick one over the other I’d pick health first. I certainly count my blessing every day. At 45 I’m healthy and fit. My wife is healthy. My four kids are all healthy. We’re not wealthy—mostly because I have four kids—but I wouldn’t trade any of them or my station as their father for all the money in the world. We’re comfortable. We have everything we need and most of what we want. We try to be charitable and donate money and time to those in need as well. But, I realize that both health and wealth are fleeting. The most important thing in life IME is embracing the journey. Understand death itself is but a stage of life. Learn to change that which you can and accept that which you can’t. Become a person of strong character and constitution. Be charitable and kind. Love without limits, but also fight relentlessly for what you know to be true and right. These are principles I try to live by and try to teach my children, and also, IME, if you live by these principles health, financial security, and longevity are much more likely to follow.

If I understand your point, you’re not asking which is better, health or wealth. Rather, you’re asking what is the point of your wealth if you can’t use it to help friends/loved-ones deal with THEIR current health issues. I think that’s a little like asking what good is a hammer when a saw is required. Someone above mentioned that there maybe other tools that you have that are more suited to the task...I agree.😊

good thoughts everyone.
learn to change that which you can and accept that which you can't . yes true.
I think its important to let people know when you are struggling with these life problems.
its not an easy ride.
my friends surgery went well recovery time is going to be long.
I keep my home open for their kids to come over to swim and down some beers with dad so he can vent.. its something.
stay healthy. I guess im going to be facing a lot of these dilemmas when im off to clown therapeutic school. I got some reading to do.

Good health is the greatest wealth. Without good health and feeling good, nothing is satisfactory. All the money in the world won't help you if you feel like crap and the body is failing. Steve Jobs had more money than god and still died young of pancreatic cancer.

Take care of your health and treat your remarkable body with care and respect.
