Folks,

I'm in the process of writing a VS-2400cd instrument driver for MIDI Quest Pro. I'm having no success writing the dump request macro for a single User Effects patch.

The SysEx string I'm using is:

F0 41 0F 00 61 11 12 00 00 00 00 00 01 52 1B F7
My device ID is 16 (0F hex) and the checksum is calculated by MIDI Quest's checksum function with Roland settings (I've used this function for several other Roland devices).

Anyone out there ever program a sysex request for your 2400cd?

Thanks,
J.D.

Hi,

I'm a programmer and noticed your post.

I looked up MIDI Quest - looks interesting but no linux support - shame as I have a VS200CD, Roland PMA-5 and a Yamaha qy100 among other things.

So MIDI Quest accepts midi dumps, stores, views, edits and sends them back?

I assume your experienced in MIDI but here is an interesting website anyway (includes info about Roland sysex)

http://www.2writers.com/eddie/TutSysEx.htm

As I don't have MIDI Quest I cannot help directly - just wanted to say hi keep us posted ...

Woof.
