OK
I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to 7 Home premium without a hitch.
However when the system boots up it doesn't see the V700 drivers.
I've deleted the old V700 drivers and installed the new ones. v1.
I've disabled the Windows High Def drivers.
I can unplug the 700 restart and then plug it in and Control Panel will then see the 700 drivers in a munute or so and all is well.
I can also turn on the 700 after restart and CP will see the 700 drivers.

Ideas?
Thanks, tis been a while guys!!

Odd. What does Roland Support have to say about this?

Have you tried installing the drivers as Administrator? If a prompt comes up asking if you trust the publisher make sure you click the box that says "Always trust crap from this publisher" or whatever. Could it be UAC related (I generally disable UAC on anything that will be expected to run as a DAW)?

If the "drivers" are loaded in as part of a program, completely uninstall it with something like Revo Uninstaller. Make sure to completely uninstall and delete left over registry files.

Then, if your drivers/program is on a disc, try creating a folder for it and copy the contents of the disc to the folder. Find the installer, right click on it and choose Properties. Then, select the compatibility mode and choose to run the program in compatibility mode for XP service pack 2 AND at the bottom choose to run as Administrator. Then, install from there.

Hi guys
Yes I always run as administrator.
Been with the Cakewalk tech and sent a system info file, of which I should hear back soon.
It looks like I may need to do the clean install.

I just hate the drudgery of reinstalling everything.

If I do I'll probably install the 64 bit version.

Best

I just want to know if this is possible.I am setting up my laptop for a dual boot of win 7 x64 and win xp x64 and from what i have seen on the manufacturers website, the laptop and all of the drivers are made for windows 7. I know that using xp drivers on windows 7 works, but I need to know if it will work the other way around.

Hi
Why not WinXP32? Isn't the reason why you are installing WinXP the very fact that Win7 32-bit is not functioning as expected?? Just curious. I'd rather keep all my working WinXP drivers the way they are.
