Hi everyone, so as you might suspect if you've been following along on nightmare experience with loosing the STOP & REWIND switches on my VS2480, I'm playing hell trying to find parts for the old battleship.

Today I was actually able to connect with a real human being on the telephone only to be told that Roland does not sell parts to consumers, you know, people like myself that have spent thousands of dollar over the years buying Roland equipment and such, only to find out that they won't sell me $5.31 STOP & REWIND switches and told me that I'll need to go through a service center to get the parts.

So I called a couple service centers only to be told quite abruptly that "we're not a parts house and no we won't sell you the switches".

Last week when my old 2002 Chevy needed a part, I went to our local Chevy dealer and without question they sold me the exact part that I needed. This was GM people!

So my question is, who the hell does Roland think they are by not selling parts to people who need them? This is one of the worst cases of corporate snobbery I've ever experienced.

I swear on all things holy if I had it to do all over again I'd ditch Roland and their corporate snobbery in a heart beat. Where the hell do they get off !

Extremely unhappy with you Roland !!!

My friend, those that still visit this forum come for instruction, not criticism. There are many of us that are operating from different skill levels and experience. That's the point of this forum.

While I love my 2480 I have to agree that Roland left many buyers in the dust with the console. I can understand that the 2480 is ancient in Rolands line of products, but to completely blow off thousands of buyers/users is bad service. Kind of pisses me off too.
