Instead of converting to SD card, CF card has proven to be more consistent from version to version. This link is for an amazon listing from 2017 and still active, although who knows if it's the same actual device in the year old listing? At any rate, I would guess (though cannot guarantee in any fashion) that this adapter can work.
https://www.amazon.com/Syba-SD-ADA45006-Compact-Adapter-Enclosure/dp/B0036DDXUM

This also is not a scsi to cf adapter, but an ide to cf, which is what most people have used... I'm not sure that I've seen a standalone scsi to cf (or sd) adapter. Adapters of this sort need to be installed in a scsi case, with power supply in order to be used at the external scsi port of the 2480.

They've also been used to replace the internal 2.5 inch hard drives in models like the 1880, 1680, 880, etc. In that case, they are just fitted into the existing internal drive bay and internal ribbon cable attached (sometimes with pin adapters needed as well).

I honestly don't recall a converter on amazon to go straight from scsi to sd card..... although my memory may be failing me on this, as it's been a few years since I actively pursued such conversions and mods.

If you go the route of finding an external scsi case with power supply, you will also need one of very few scsi to ide bridge cards - these are not inexpensive anymore.

But should you go that route and already have SD cards you want to use instead of CF cards, I'd suggest that you buy the cf card adapter in the link above. Then get a cf to sd adapter like this one -
https://www.amazon.com/Mimgo-Store-Compa...to+sdhc+adapter

It slides right into the cf adapter card slot. It is not wifi (wifi versions may not even work for this - I've never tried one in this application).

This is about all I have on this subject anymore.
Maybe somebody else will have just the thing for you.

The listing title says it's 44 pins. It's made to fit directly into a 2.5 inch laptop.

I forgot that the 2480 uses 3.5 in hard drives and not the smaller laptop drives. If this is used as an internal hard drive replacement in a 2480, you would no doubt need to get a proper pin adapter, as well as a drive tray adapter -

Used for an external scsi solution, you would need to get pin adapter(s) based on the internal connections in whatever scsi drive case you can mod to make work with the VS.

None of this is a simple plug and play sort of routine. It will take some figuring out on your end and probably more research to find just what you need for your mod.

My experience with the 2480 and whatever mods you can do is a very limited one, because I don't have a 2480.

If your research leaves you with the impression that all this will end up costing a lot, then you should consider getting VirDIS and a basic desktop pc for the VirDIS PCI card and go that route. The pc doesn't need to be special at all........ you just need one that can accept a PCI or PCIe card and very basic processing power.

Then, instead of converting your 2480 to a different internal hard drive, or spending what could be a couple hundred or more on building your own external scsi enclosure, you'd essentially be able to use the desktop pc as your 2480's hard drive....... and more.

You haven't said what you want this converter for..... but if you and I are talking about the same purpose, then check out the VirDIS forum here on the Planet. The developer, himself, contributes to the discussion and info about VirDIS often and you will be able to send queries directly to him, if you need to. He's a very good man to talk to.

You might want to check out this thread about converting the internal drive to SSD...
Depending on your intentions with the conversion you are after, it might be of great help to you.
