Storeytime Storeytime Space Cadet Registered: 04/10/04 Posts: 26 Loc: Texas	I got my 2400 several months ago and am just now trying to use it. I got stopped right off the bat. It opens with the CD Master button flashing. The manual says to get out of master room to turn the switch off, but the on/off switch isn’t on the screen. How do I get out and start a new project? I’ve tried rebooting already. I have 2 screen shots but don’t see how to put them in this post.

I don't know your machine, but you might look for that. It seems to me, though, that the problem must go deeper than that. It could be a hard drive issue - you could find out what your machine uses for a hard drive and try replacing it with a substitute. It could be a machine hardware/electronics issue that requires diagnostics that the typical VS user won't have available, or something more simple, but needing of diagnostic troubleshooting and tearing apart the unit to find. It could also be that you haven't found the correct button(s) or menu choice - Be sure to use the manual and investigate every menu and button choice suggested, especially to do with any CD Master function mentioned, regardless of how obscure it may appear. This is a problem I've never heard of. _________________________ uptildawn

No problems. It sat in my closet since then, and when I fired it up a few days ago, it came on with that CD Master button flashing.

Storeytime Storeytime Space Cadet Registered: 04/10/04 Posts: 26 Loc: Texas	That worked. I was trying to do this without the mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Now, I just have to see what’s wrong with mouse input terminal. Loose connection or something on the connector.
