Kind of embarrassed to ask this, but have never attempted it and can't find any info on it. Franks Brown Bag isn't loading properly for me to check there either. Anyway...

I have a band that just recorded an 11 song album on my 2480. I've got most of the drums properly compressed and EQ'd on a song, and seeing that most of the songs are very similar I'm hoping to transfer those settings for the sake of speed. My question is: How do I carry over channel settings from one song to another? Obviously I can manually do it, but was pretty sure there was a way to save the settings and apply them to other songs.

Thanks in advance.

Been a minute and i'm not in front of my machine but seems there is a ticker box you need to check when creating a "new project" that will save something like "copy project parameters" or "copy global parameters" ect and that will keep all channels matched as you create a new blank project.

However, I'm not sure if there's a way to do that if all the projects have already been created but the VS has surprised me more than once!

edit : You could always create a new project with the settings copied that you require and then import the raw tracks into that VS project. Not sure if that would be any quicker task though. Good luck!

Unfortunately, all 11 of the projects have already been created and recorded. Sure hoping there is a way to do this. Would save me loads of time.

Sorry, I must have replied within the quotes. For easier reading my response was "Unfortunately, all 11 of the projects have already been created and recorded. Sure hoping there is a way to do this. Would save me loads of time.."

I don't think it can be done. Bit late now but may help you next time, whenever I record an album for a band I record all the songs in one project. That way once the eq, comp etc is set for the drums it never really needs to be changed from song to song, likewise with all the other tracks.

I'm not sure if I do it this way from my days working with tape where everything would be recorded one after the other or because of the issue you have asked about and the time it takes on the VS to move from one project to another.
