After what I went through tonight with my VS2480s, just appreciate the simplicity and straight-forwardness of your VS2000.

Cheers,
Ian

I can't find how to make a new post. I need help with a VS2000CD. it has a VGA card. I hooked up a monitor, but i do not have the mouse or keyboard. Under utilities I chose to use the VGA display but absolutely nothing appears on the screen. Rebooted after the video monitor was connected and still I did not see anything on the screen. Does that mean that my VS20_VGA card is bad, or do you have to have a mouse and keyboard hooked up as well? I thought it should at least display something, even if I could not control anything, but nothing comes up on the display.

You do not need the keyboard and mouse hooked up. The screen should work once the vga card is connected. Make sure you connected everything properly. Open the unit and look at the connection. THere is a video on youtube weher someone made a vga connection for the roland mv8000. sadly that is a different kettle of fish from the vs2000.

Anyway good luck to you. The VS2000 is a machine capable of professional recordings.

Cheers,
Ian

Brady,I believe there is a menu somewhere(utilities, etc) where you can click a box to turn on the VGA feature once you have it hooked up.

Take a look at your unit. There is a "Home" button to the right og the LCD. To the left of that it says VGA and is attached to the F6 button. You need to enable the VGA from the 2000. It will not be enabled just because you hook up a monitor.
