I am working on the final stage of a CD. I have created a CDA project. I have imported 14 songs in the correct order. I am using automation to control the final level between all the songs. I am now in the automate edit area and have to change a level that was not right. I highlight the area and delete it as I always do only this time, upon playback the fader still jumps to the old spot. Although on the screen it has obviously been deleted, it is still there. Really frustrating. Anyone?? I have already visited the automix screen. It seems that I have to erase all the data and start over. I can't just drag the mouse and delete. That has always worked till now. Any ideas?? Thanks.

You can’t go into micro edit, select the specific parameter you want to delete and delete it?

Micro edit is your friend.

I've been to the screen. Haven't seen how it could help. Honestly, I'm not that familiar with it. All I know is when I opened it up, I saw something like: 00000.0000 00---- so I assumed it was showing me there was no automation, which was again puzzling because it was indeed erased but still there somehow. The fader still jumps to the spot that I deleted.

Try running Drive Check and let it clean up whatever it finds.

When in the automix edit screen make sure you have selected "all" data. I've had this before where it doesn't show all the data on the screen and you think you have deleted it but its still lurking in the background.

Good call. Yes, you should see a blue mark for any automation that’s taking place. Since it’s a ‘level’ automix, select either level or all.

The micro edit screen just tells you where and what automation is being done.

So if you’re dropping the level by 2db at the 4 minute mark you’ll see the 4:00:00 time stamp, “level”, and the dB setting at tha5 point.

I have been to the automate screen. I don't see a choice for "all". You just pick what you want automated be it Pan, Level, EQ or whatever. Just check what you want, which is what I do. Now if you do a level tap, it shows a straight line at that point equivalent to the level of the fader. I have deleted this blue line and still the info is there upon playback. I have also automated the fader while moving in play record automate and yet nothing appears in the automate edit screen. Figure that one out. It's working but nothing shows. Very weird. I still wonder if it has anything to do with being in a CDA project and mastering the final tracks. I have never had this happen in a normal MTP project.

In the automix edit screen click on the PRM box whihc is juts above Track 1 M,S,A,P buttons. It will let you select one of many parameters or ALL. ALL is at the bottom of the long list that appears. If you select ALL you may find that there is some data that needs to be deleted which should solve your problem.
