Thanks, Jamie. Basically testing out the Washburn. I'd never recorded with it before. Not bad sound for a $250 guitar. I used an AT4047 about 10-12 inches from the neck joint except the little solo spots it was about 3 inches away. Also fingers on everything except a pick on those spots. I broke the nail off on my middle finger so it was weird playing with nails and skin. B string pretty light sounding. Open D tuning.
very sweet tune nice deep tones on this guitar. I had some comments about the mix but then I played it back with my monitors and I like it a lot..nice riffs.lovely ending lead outer you doing everything on the one guitar slide is nice..
Andy, that's exactly what this one is - 12-fret with slotted headstock. I got it on eBay and it was a mess. I took it to my friend (a luthier and a certified Martin repairman) and he despaired on first look. But he said he'd take a closer look later. He called me back and said "doable". Intonation is still a tiny bit iffy in spots, but 2.5 million times more playable now.
