I haven't recorded anything on it yet, but here are the lyrics:
.......I Made A Stranger Cry Today........
1. I made a stranger cry today. I guess must have struck a chord. To have her feel what I was feeling Was the day’s reward.
2. I had the ear of a woman Who sat a little way apart, A bit too far for me to talk to, But she could hear my heart.
3. I sang of love and loss in my life; Had she been through all that before? I sang of pain that’s never ending, Then somehow ask for more.
C1. Today I made a stranger cry. I made a stranger cry today. I don’t know why it’s so important to me now; In the end she walked away.
4. With one hand covering her mouth, The other softly on her heart, She he listened closely to words I sang that day, And that got the tears to start.
5. I sang a lyric then that touched her so That she cried out in knowing pain. It was then I knew I’d hit my mark, And feel love’s sting again.
C2. Today I made a stranger cry. I made a stranger cry today. I think I know why it’s important to me now, It doesn't happen every day.
E. Today I made a stranger cry. I made a stranger cry today. Today I made a stranger cry. I made a stranger cry today.

I like those lyrics.
Do you have music to go along with?

Had to stop the upload because I'm downloading PreSonus Studio One and it's taking forever. One's an upload and the other a download, so I don't know why, but as soon as I cancelled the YouTube upload, the download sped up a lot.
Hmmm... maybe I should just upload it from my phone via 4G.

Dan that's fantastic! If you don't mind I would like to pile some instruments on that, I can email you the results.

If no drummers are taking....and assuming you want drums, I'll run it by my robot. I've been curious to hear how it would interpret someone else's timing.
Need to have "the take" though. Doesn't need to be clicked....prefer it not, unless you just want it to play (Fleetwood Mac) Dreams. Then it NEEDS to be clicked. So--the question is to you want emotional or hypnotic as a general feel? Anyway...you pick up a lot towards the end--while you can do that either way, I think that will feel better not clicked, as you can pick up the tempo a little like your'e doing as WELL as the intensity.
Thinking out loud.

First off, would you be interested in engineering the mix? That's pretty time consuming, so I'll compensate you.
Need to have "the take" though. I don't have a take yet, in fact the above video is the first time I recorded it, I think. But I'll get you a take as soon as I get S1 up and running.
BTW, it's finally done downloading now, after a day and a half!!! And it all loaded to my :C drive! It's a 500GB and only 4.17GB is left!!! I have two other drives which have over 4TBs of space. There was no way to tell it where to put stuff.
By the way, I had the demo version, so the S1 program is already installed, and I think these are all instrument sets and plug-ins within .zip files and I can tell them where to go when I run install on each program that uses/runs them. Then I'll delete or move the zip files for backup.

I can probably mix as an eventuality.
On the tech front, you can put stuff anywhere you need to....in terms of those instrument installs....if it didn't let you customize it on install, two words “symbolic link”.
It just occurred to me how weird i am in that respect....a musician....who mixes audio....and knows how to configure symbolic links with Powershell....

Great tune/song Dan!
I hear lot's of cowbell! - I'm up for doing the cowbell track!
All kidding aside....
I'll follow the colab as it progresses (if the progress is shared) and offer something where I can.
Good job Bro!

Thanks, guys. Here's where I am on it right now: flat on my ass, ha! No not quite:
I hope to have S1 up and running tomorrow, so I can lay down some foundation scratch tracks. Thing is, after tomorrow, I'm pretty socked in with gigs and commitments. Two gigs Sunday, then Monday my ex in LA is having brain surgery for Parkinson's and I volunteered to help out for a few days while she's recovering. Then a gig in Culver City Friday night, then back to Joshua Saturday to do sound for and host an an open-mic sort of thing thing for a private party.
That puts me up to Nov 2nd when I'm leaving for a trip (hopefully a mini-tour) in Mexico for 10 days or so.
Jazzooo, we should talk. I'm hoping to pop into San Miguel for a visit if I may. I'll shoot you a message tomorrow.

Dan, PM me your email address. Using the audio from you Youtube, I put together something that sounds like a bunch of friends jamming in the living room. I need to drop some pedal steel on it and then I'll send it to you.
