( Hello Keep ! Greetings from Sweden )
Well, that might be true, but itīs not the motor that is the problem, itīs the fader. If you got a "nervous and jumpy" fader it will still jump around ( watch on VGA in MIXER VIEW, track mix ) and the volume will fluctuate randomly .... If I still had my "bad" fader board in my VS I could have made a video to show you, but itīs now "collecting dust" on my shelf ..... ( for spare parts ) All my VSīs is working perfect at the moment .... ( Touch wood )
OK sorry, I found the Fd little rectangle box in the lower left hand corner of the test mode screen, but how in the world do I select it ? I can't get my mouse's pointer to show up on the LCD screen ?

Just press the button ( F1 ) under the "rectangle box" and the fader test starts.
Make sure you donīt press "PAGE" button, because then the "rectangle box" over F1 button reads "FrmDr" or something like that, witch means "Format Drive" and I guess you donīt want that to happen .......
Other tests is marked with the arrows or jog wheel ( donīt remember right now ) and then press "Execute" ( F6 ) or press any button per the info in LCD screen.
To exit Test Mode just turn off your VS with the power switch.
