when I only want to burn CD's with the VS, if I take more it will be converted to 44,1,what not even sounds better, or I cant burn because the khz rate is to high.
Is there something I dont understand?

Audio CDs - ones that can be played in a standard cd player in a car, or standalone connected to a stereo system - can only play 44.1k/16bit. So if the cds you are wanting to burn are like this, then you have no choice but to burn them at 44.1k.

Your other choices would involve transferring the 48k tracks to an external burner if it can convert in real time, or to the pc world, where again, they must eventually be converted to 44.1k if an audio cd is your destination.

Your digital camera (or even your phone) probably takes 10 to 50 Megapixel images. But if you post it to the internet it will be resized to a thousand pixels per side or less. Massive overkill - unless you are going to make a large format print.

It is the same with audio. It is nice to have the capacity to create high resolution wav files. Maybe you will create a vinyl record that captures all of that "data". But if your music ends up on a CD (or worse, an mp3 file) much of the data is lost. Still, we want the signal to be as good as possible until the final step, so the VS offers those options.

Yes I know, but the option of a vinyl record with 96 kHz recordings might be interesting someday, never thought about that before.
I tried the sample rate conversion, explained on rolandvs2480.net but it was no big deal of course.
