People here are not inclined to make guinea pigs of their children and families.
Most of the colleges and universities are doing remote classes.
And something like 90% of the elementary and secondary students are doing remote learning, which is not that bad here. Washington is the home of Bill Gates and many techie companies, so the quality of virtual education is on the high side, and pretty much everyone has access to a computer.
Some of the private schools and rural areas which have very low infection rates are having in-person classes.
I understand the teachers have reached an agreement about how to proceed, I have not yet read the agreement or the response of the governor's office. My impression is that in-person classes are to resume gradually in places where the infection rate falls below an acceptable level. Infections in WA generally are decreasing.
