This my favorite track on the album. Really fun!
For those of you who have not checked out Gonzo's latest album - I highly recommend it. IMO, his best work to date.

cool thing about this tune, all the guitar parts and bass parts were done using a strymon Iridium. no amps.
drums are superior drummer 3.

well the production was really crisp, clearly the best effort from 4 songs i listened to this morning at the Planet.
not enough of a melody for me to really give it a thumbs up as far as something I'd choose to listen to. I'd put it in the category of generic boogie music but it's in the upper eshelon of that.

I played several songs for my wife - she really dug 'em. Very complimentary.

Nicely done.
More sharp 9 chords would have made it funkier to me. Guitar sound and drums are quite good to me.

wow webster, that's really nice of you to say, thanks!
yea, this particular one was fun to track, fun to mix, probably the easiest song to 'create' on the whole album.

hi grachus! thanks for listening....
buying from me, says phuck you to amazon, which i'm good with! LOL
the strymon iridium has been real fun to play with , and i'm still just learning how to dial it in.
it's funny, but almost none of the sounds i used on this album, are the sounds i'm working with now.
ultimately, i'm looking for one good amp/cab combo that covers my whole thing.
pm me if you want the album, in any version

my production chops keep improving, yes, which hopefully means i spend less time fukin' with mixes, and more time writing!
the idea of 'melodies' is spread a mile wide.
some people really want to hear the simplest melodies, repeated over and over and over. my mom was like that, and she liked a lot of music. but the ones with the simplest melodies always got her interest the most.
but my writing is a bit more progressive than that, and the goal for me, is not to write simple melodies, but write melodies that pour out of me like a fountain.
this song is full of melodies. they continue, constantly, throughout the entire arrangement. as far from generic as it could be, it is in fact, a wealth of melodies. you just have to be more open to 'non-pop style' melodies. i'm not singing poetry here, i'm telling a story.

thanks tao...
space, is the instrumental version of a song off my "Stay" album called "Heaven". that was a collab i did with a character named 'wookiee". he did all the synth work, then i put the guitars and voices over it, re-arranging it a bit.

Very nice, Gonz! Reminds me more of Jeff Beck than Prince.
hey xeno, yes, j. beck would def be one of my main influences. starting with the beck bogart and appice album, and then working my way backwards to truth, and forwards to blow by blow.
but hey, i love prince, and so the bass line was something i imagined he would have fun with.

but this one, was one of the most fun to track... i'm hoping the fun factor comes across in the performances.

Good production..of course. Some keys would have been nice. hi timster! thanks for the comments... i've got keys on a few songs from the album, so leaving them off this one made the most sense to me...
besides, i hear zero keys in this.
i mean, yea, anybody could play some interesting keyboard parts across the top of it.. or even, some pads underneath.. but it doesn't need it, IMHO>
the battle of palmito ranch, and neon blues, was written around keys.
i've been thinking of branching out with some keyboard-dominate songs, i'm working on a few demos now.
thanks again tim
