I met him at a place called "The Beatnik Lounge," my buddy Teddy Quinn's club, and then at "Pappy and Harriet's" a few years ago. He's living in France now about 40 miles North of Marseilles. Anyway, in desperation, he asked me if I could pick him up from LAX so he could start his US tour. I did, and it took a week of concentrated effort to get him on his way. Car trouble, etc, you don't want to know... ha.
He is a gonzo madman, I tell ya; the fountain of creativity flowing from him is incredible and I'm soaked to the bone. We started writing two songs which we will hone together remotely. When he comes back this way at the end of the tour, four months from now, we have tentative time booked at a local studio, to record them. Those two, "Filling In The Cracks," "The Half Of You" and my "I Made A Stranger Cry."
