hi 2480 crew..for some reason the unit wont store project in any mode..exiting..from mastering...from project to project...if i opt to not store im able to move forward...all current work is lost..should i remove unwanted projects?..any suggestions ?....

You may want to make sure you have all backup copies of your songs--as data--and then reformat the drive.

Hard drive full? Do as March suggests. Do you have an external drive to use as backup? IIRC, the 2480 uses all available HD space when preparing to burn CDs.

took out 80 gb hd..replaced w another 80 gb...no change..replaced w old one now im able to store and optimize..and pull up every hd partition except number 2!...what in the world!...have any ideas why im unable to pull up number 2?..keep saying operation failed...

Some data in partition #2 is corrupt or damaged .....

Same partition on the other HD ?

Yes, corrupt data in partition 2. That is probably lost. Backup and then reformat that partition.

Is it possible to reformat just one partition ?? \:o
Do you mean "initialize" ( clear ) one partition ?

Can also be a scratch in HD surface ( or dust ... ) in
the "partition #2 area" ....

Backup everything and initialize with "surface scan" on
to search for damages .
Page 115 in the Big manual .... ( 450 pages )

You can also perform a "drive check" without losing any
data, according to page 116 and 117 in the same Big manual .
( Have not done it myself )
