I came across this "kit" the other day that supposedly allows you to connect either the SCSI or the R-Bus jack of a VS2xxx to the USB port of a PC and directly record tracks on the PC...
Here is the item on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/354119558138 https://www.ebay.com/itm/354119558138

Is this actually possible?

If you go all the way to the bottom, it supposedely works in conjunction with a PL2303 driver...

Thank you.

They are selling serial to USB adapters.
SCSI is not a serial port, so I don't see how it could work.
And R-Bus is proprietary Roland.

I thought so too. Even worse, you can buy the same adapter and cable together for $9 with free shipping and download the driver they claim they are using for free...

This pops up every so often. I'm skeptical. I'll wait for the next incarnation of VirDis, which is to be platform independent and connect to computer via USB.
