maasai maasai Planeteer Registered: 04/07/16 Posts: 40	hi 2480 crew! i have a mac that ive interfaced with 2480 hard drive (i took hard drive out..i bought a multi pin interface for 30$)..the recordings show up on my desk top but wont play through my mac computer...tried windows..vlc..mix pad...audacity..many other downloads..tried contacting roland no response...tried their on line tech support..many products discontinued..any suggestions?...thank you ....

calypso calypso Planeteer Registered: 07/22/05 Posts: 2063 Loc: mid-Missouri	The original recording files were saved with the Roland proprietary compression scheme - so they are not recognized by any commercial app. You can't access the .wav files directly. _________________________ It's all just ones and zeroes. bear bear Planeteer Registered: 10/25/99 Posts: 6437 Loc: abq,nm,usa	You can convert roland proprietary format to standard wav file using VSWE - this program is windows only though, no mac. Will work on a mac running windows as a virtual machine. Or convert on a windows machine first - any program on mac can then use standard wav files.
