Wow! I log on here after being elsewhere and see this. Another one of our "good guys" has gone to eternal rest.

My sympathies to his wife, family, and friends. My interactions with him here on VS Planet were always good.

Hook, you will be missed and remembered fondly.

Ahhh Man! Hook was one of the guys that gave all and asked for NOTHING in return.

I remember seeing his posts in the VS-880 forum all the time before I even owned ANY Roland DAW unit yet, or was even a member here at the time.

Flatcat, thanks for adding his wife Christine's heartfelt information from Facebook to this thread. What a truly inspirational way with words she had for her husband.

Eric, were the VS8F-3 card and all the effects I purchased from you the ones that were on Hook's 2480? Or, from another 2480 you had?? Just curious.

RIP Chris, you were one of the pioneers that assisted so many people here in getting started on their VS-880's, and pumped out some pretty damned good material on it as well.

Prayers and beams to Christine in her time of grief and need. Hopefully, she will find comfort in knowing that many of us here wish her our highest condolences.

Hook was an unselfish good guy, and the world would be so great if there were more of those types. We appreciate you, Hook.

Hi Falcon - They were not from Hook's. I haven't messed with it at all. Eric

If there were a Planeteer Hall of Fame, you would be an honorary inductee. Best wingman ever. RIP Brother Hook.

His obituary says that he died unexpectedly. Does anyone know what happened?

JazAddict just informed me of this most sad and terrible news. I stopped visiting VSPlanet years ago because I stopped using VS recorders many years ago, but this news deserved a visit to give my deepest condolences. Hook was one of the very FEW planeteers I spoke with over the phone. When he and I were working on the VS Power book, we used to talk weekly on the phone about our plans and progress. I love what his wife wrote about him. Perfect words to describe him, imo.

Hook, you touched the lives of many and left a great impression. You will be missed dearly. As been said many times already, he was one of the good ones. R.I.P. Chris aka Hook.
