i don't think it has died,but it has slowed down considerably.
most people have moved on to computer based DAW's. i still
have my 2480 but i rarely use it anymore. for all the things
a 2480 can do there's just so many more things that a computer
based DAW can do. i do still like the portability factor of
the 2480 though. but it is pretty much in the dinosaur catagorey
now.
