the 1st lead break was quite smart, i like the blend of the backwards with the forwards... trying to ride, in the country side, where you don't belong. nice.
mix wise, it's a smooth mix. kudos. i'd bring up the first verse vocal, it gets dialed in later, but right at the beginning, it's a bit hard to get some of the lyric, and that's probably where it should be the loudest, just for a moment, to get the listeners attention, cuz this is a narrative, you gotta hear the first part the best.

I like the video, like Weapon's bass and guitar...dig the reverse thingys, I like the drumming. Overall, your productions continue to improve...this band fits you perfectly.
I like the song in general, and your vocals are cool and fit well, but like a fair amount of your tunes, the words are a little too rushed - too many words for the tempo, though the tempo is good for the music/song. It's not bad at all, just a hair.
I'd like to hear BG vocals on the choruses, maybe not the first one, but afterwards...and maybe some other spots, to strengthen certain points, like on the word cronies, and the words power/others, etc.. That would lend some impact at those points.
Also, the spoken word towards the end...have some instrumentation or BG vocals....build and then stop when you say "don't belong".
In all, the song would benefit from above. It rolls along into itself otherwise.
That said, I do like it.
I'm not trying to be overly critical at all, just share some thoughts that came to mind as I listened (a couple of times).

Yep - this is one of your better efforts, imo. I like it when drumming is good enough that I'm drawn to paying attention to it - like here. Guitar and bass sound good. Mix is good too. Well done.
And yeah - it's kinda r&b-ish. I see why you say that.
