OK, so I downloaded track notes to my main computer running XP. All is fine. But the computer in my home studio, where I need track notes, is running windows 98. I copied via CD from my main computer to studio computer, but studio computer now says I need some system32 files to open and run track notes. (Note that the studio computer is not hooked up to internet).

Any one got help here??

It sounds to me like an installation problem. When you installed to the 98 computer, did you copy the install package that you downloaded to the CD and then invoke the install package from the CD?

hey walrus...tx for reply...copied the entire folder with track notes to a cd, then copied to the 98 computer. shud have had all the files.

seems like track notes now expecting windowsXP (which I assume has a broader system32 file package).

Nope, you can't copy the software from one computer to the next. TrackNotes installs system files in the Windows directory.

You must delete the VSS Tracknotes directory structure you copied to the 98 machine and use the install package you downloaded to your other machine to install TrackNotes on the 98 machine. Then, simply, copy the tracknotes install package (I think it is called TN10201_256.EXE ) to the desktop on your 98 machine, navigate to the file and double click it to start the installation. Follow the wizard, you'll be all set. TrackNotes runs great on 98.
