i know a v2 is awaited that will somehow connect a 2480 to tk notes.
just wanted to say, its still useful for someone like us who use a 1680. we're terribly undisciplined during recording as far as keeping 'track' of things. 
just completed recording and rough mixing two songs for a new client. ten more songs to go. have a complete record of all we did so far thanks to 'track notes'. btw, really good to keep notes on the mixing as well.
can be a very useful tool if used properly.
