I don't know anything about this guy-but these are the statements that catch my eye from the quoted article:

I've got a great idea. Let's take the word of the male prosititute over the word of an Evangelical Pastor. That sounds like a really smart thing to do. Let's hang the Pastor out to dry just because some male prostitute says, on the radio, he's had a sexual relationship with him. How can you expect to retain credibility if you sling this stuff around? Have you become your enemy?

Smelly, my real point is, if we are to be distinguishable from our enemy, then we had best not do what our enemy does. And this crapslinging does nothing to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Keep it on the shelf, yes. On irrefutable evidence, bury him. But on hearsay? Don't sink to the depths of the enemy. Give the people seeking integrity a place of integrity go to.

I'd vote innocent until proven guilty.
Homos can say a critic of gay marriage or homosexuality had an affair with them, and people would believe it and destroy the persons career.
I need more than hearsay to believe. I need strong evidence or an admission of guilt

Speculation and guestimation goes in the garbage can when you playing with a mans life. The man could be guilty we don't know yet, but considering his background I definitely wouldn't vote or assume him guilty unless there's strong evidence or admission of guilt.
A man who is overly aroused by pornographic material who utilizes reaction formation to take on an attitude of criticism toward the topic may sacrifice many of the positive things in his life including family relationships by traveling around the country to anti-pornography rallies. This view may become an obsession, whereby the man eventually does nothing but travel from rally to rally speaking out against pornography. He continues to do this but only feels temporary relief because the deeply rooted arousal to an unacceptable behavior such as watching pornography is still present and underlying the implementation of the defense. At that point he can be said to have developed an obsessional personality above and beyond the defense mechanism.
In the court of justice I'd rather believe the outstanding citizen and preacher of morality, than to believe a male prostitute & dirty whore without evidence.
It has been speculated that an example of Reaction formation is homosexuals acquiring hateful views toward homosexuality, thus turning them into homophobes.
You have to also consider that now most gays often say and consider themselves born with a backwards brain defect, that causes them to desire and lust after the same sex.

"It made me angry that here's someone preaching about gay marriage and going behind the scenes having gay sex," said Jones, who added that he isn't working for any political group.
Jones, whose allegations were first aired on KHOW-AM radio in Denver, claimed Haggard paid him to have sex nearly every month over three years. Jones also said Haggard snorted methamphetamine before their sexual encounters to heighten his experience.
Haggard and his attorney, Martin Nussbaum, did not return calls Thursday night from the AP.
Jones said he had advertised himself as an escort on the Internet and that a man who called himself Art contacted him. Jones said he later saw the man on television identified as Haggard.
He said that he last had sex with Haggard in August and that he did not warn him before making his allegations this week.
Jones said he has voice mail messages from Haggard, as well as an envelope he said Haggard used to mail him cash. KUSA-TV reported excerpts from some of the alleged voice mails late Thursday.
"Hi Mike, this is Art," one call began, according to the station. "Hey, I was just calling to see if we could get any more. Either $100 or $200 supply."
A second message, left a few hours later, began: "Hi Mike, this is Art, I am here in Denver and sorry that I missed you. But as I said, if you want to go ahead and get the stuff, then that would be great. And I'll get it sometime next week or the week after or whenever."
Jones said Haggard was referring to methamphetamine.
"There's some stuff on there (the voice mails) that's pretty damning," he said.
Haggard, who is about 50, was appointed president of the evangelicals association in March 2003. He has participated in conservative Christian leaders' conference calls with White House staffers and lobbied members of Congress last year on U.S. Supreme Court appointees after Sandra Day O'Connor announced her retirement.
After Massachusetts legalized gay marriage in 2004, Haggard and others began organizing state-by-state opposition. Last year, Haggard and officials from the nearby Christian ministry Focus on the Family announced plans to push Colorado's gay marriage ban for the 2006 ballot.
New Life Church member Brooks DeMio, 44, said he thinks Jones is a liar and can't believe Haggard would engage in sex with a man.
"He loves the Lord, homosexuality is a sin and that's not Ted," DeMio said. "His desire is to serve other people and uphold the word of God. ... I don't know him well enough to give a complete character description, but I know him enough to know it's not true."
Looks like Brooks is in for a BIG suprize

I've read the terms "Guilty or not guilty" in this thread. I guess what makes a person Guilty or not guilty, is if they deny what they are doing. Because if this were 2 admitedly open gays there would be no guilt involved with the conversation. As a matter of fact, This might even be construed as a gay bashing thread. If you ask some gays, they may even tell you thaT THEY ARE Christian gays. So I guess the fact that this guy might be a christian gay "IN DENIAL" or even a non Christian gay "In Denial" would somewhat be a matter of our own compation toward them. JMHO
