Hook-
Thanks for the response. Adding SoundForge would be great. Hope it happens.
Yeah, I've checked out Recording Booth, but it seems to be a bit too "general". Lots of "check out my band's song" kind of posts, as well as music theory questions and collaboration requests. Those are fine, but a dedicated "techniques" forum would be great. It just seems that lots of good, solid recording techniques that people post (like mic placement for recording drums, gain staging, use of reverbs/effects, mic selection for vocals, etc., etc.) get buried within the individual platform forums. Especially the vs-2480 forum. Lots of those posts would be better suited to a "Recording Techniques" forum. In fact, those type of posts seem to be dominating the 2480 forum lately. Since I'm a 2480 user, it's great for me, but other vs-planet users might never see those posts.
Since you guys are trying to move away from being tied to any one particular platform (which is a great idea), I think it makes sense to start getting people to post outside of their "home" forum (i.e. their own platform).
Just my 2 cents.
Thanks again,
ray
