hi there, having owned my 1200 for almost a year now i still have some questions which are holding me back from recording and indeed my inspirations.

i have studied the manual and dvd but there are no genuine examples for me to relate to and so im hoping u guys could possibly do that for me, give me some examples that is... here goes..

having made a line in recording of keyboard on tracks 1 and 2 i want to have this 11 second recording repeat 3 times and i want the start of the section to start at exactly the point the original section ends.

should i use track copy or loop phrase? or does this even matter because they do the same thing? or is loop phrase what i would use to loop several tracks at once of the verses or chorus for example?

i also have some editing issues i could do with some advice on. as i said in a previous post i am getting a zip niose when i cut the sound for track copy or loop phrase and always a slight delay before repeating.

here is my timing for the cut on track copy or loop phrase

start 1.35 seconds
end 12.2 seconds
to 12.2
from 1.35

is this correct??

shouldent this give me an unninterupted loop on my track with no cut sound or delay, or am i just expecting too much of this state of the art digital technology ??

i hope these questions make sense, thanks in advance for any thoughts, ideas, facts would be great. love from accross the pond. rut

sorry i also have another have some other questions. when u loop phrase a line in recording on 1&2 it appears on track 9&10 where it performs its loop. if i was happy with it what do i do with it then?

re record it onto 1&2 or save it? and would this free up 9&10 for another loop recording
and when we use 9&10 for looping are we just basically borrowing it, and can we have multiple loops of different instruments in the same song?? so.... confused.

I thought the loop was for drum and bass only, for patterns or arrangements to continue to loop while building a song. Is there something I'm missing? This would be a cool feature but one I'm not aware of.

I don't know. I tried doing it with the Br8, but there is always a weird gap.

I believe the only thing you can loop is the drum beat, or the loop phrases, but the loop phrases are only so long, short, etc. Some are not full length loop phrases, which sucks, but that's how the cookie crumbles on this machine. but I am pretty sure it can be to loop phrases, of say a chord progression. If I am not mistaken, you can take the "marked" phrase and copy it several times. I have not done this, as I don't like completely repeating motifs. But anyone who is doing hip hop, techno, drum and bass, this should come in handy.
